Operation Friendship Seniors Society is excited to once again partner with London Drugs and friends to help deliver special gifts to seniors in the Greater Edmonton Area.
Now in its third year, Stocking Stuffers for Seniors has expanded to provide gifts to 4,000 seniors.
Many of the seniors the program supports are thrilled when items from their personalized wish lists are delivered to them during the holidays.
You’re invited to join us for the launch of Stocking Stuffers for Seniors at London Drugs in South Edmonton Common, as dozens of volunteers create custom decorated stockings that will go to many of our seniors with their gifts this year.
Santa will be there for photos, and you can choose a tag from the tree to adopt your senior this season.

About Stocking Stuffers for Seniors
Previously called Santa for Seniors, Stocking Stuffers for Seniors was founded by Operation Friendship Seniors Society and London Drugs in 2015 with the goal of surprising 40 seniors with gifts during the holidays. The people of Edmonton and area ended up supporting all 350 of our seniors, and 150 packages for our drop-in centre were donated. We underestimated the generosity of Edmontonians, and due to demand, we needed to expand the program.
In year two, we expanded the program to support North Edmonton Seniors Association (NESA), Youville Home in St. Albert, Sherwood Care in Sherwood Park and Grande Spirit Foundation in Grande Prairie. We supported 3,800 seniors in 2016.
Now going into year three, we have expanded the program to be able to support even more seniors – many in low income and assisted living facilities; some in palliative care.
