Coming up on Sunday, August 25 is an exciting new race for the City of Edmonton. The Down & Dirty 5K Obstacle Course race will test your endurance and challenge you through a variety of obstacles laid out amongst our 5K course. The name says it all; participants can anticipate walking away caked in mud, sore from scaling, climbing and pushing themselves to one of the most rewarding races this summer. All of the donations of funds raised for the Down & Dirty 5K Obstacle Course will go directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation and more specifically the Cross Cancer Institute. As many in Edmonton can relate, the Cross Cancer Institute is a very crucial place that has helped so many lives over the years.

As this is our first year with the race, we have set the goal to raise $20,000 for the Cross Cancer Institute and have been on track to do so. The Down & Dirty 5K Obstacle Course is still new to many and so we are reaching out throughout the community for support towards the race. We will be doing a silent auction leading up to the race and therefore are looking for charitable donations (which tax receipts can be provided for). As well, registration is now open and available to soloists and teams of 5.
